About us

Folio Conservation is the working practice of Nicole Devereux. She takes on private commissions and is available for contract work.

 

Nicole holds an MA degree combined with a postgraduate degree in Books and Library Material from West Dean College. Since graduating in 2014, she worked at the National Archives in Kew before securing a one year internship at The National Library of Ireland. She later worked for The University of Edinburgh in the Centre for Research and Collections, and more recently in the Cadbury Research Library at Birmingham University. She has also carried out work experience at Historic England (Swindon) and the V&A (South Kensington). 

She has experience working on large and small projects as well as single items. She took part in digitisation projects, which gave her experience supervising interns and volunteers. She has also presented a paper titled; ‘Conserving the Scottish Session Papers’ for Digitisation at the ICON Conference in 2019.
